Oneil Carlier has a longstanding history of serving his community. Most recently, he has served as MLA for Whitecourt-Ste. Anne and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
He is passionate about defending hard-working Albertans. He holds a certificate from the Labour College of Canada and prior to being elected, he spent more than a decade as a regional representative with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).
With over 20 years in public service as a geotechnical technician with Agriculture Canada, Oneil understands the unique issues faced by rural communities, and as he has shown during his time as Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, is committed to providing them with a strong voice in Alberta’s legislature.
